We had a situation where a locksmith was needed that day. DR Davis was the first to answer their phone (ahh sweet relief). It took a couple of hours, but along came Anthony. He knew exactly what to do and did it expertly. He was also eager to help and did it with a smile on his face. And this was on a Saturday! I know this is Anthony's job, but it's the attitude that resonates. He helped me make a difficult time better for someone and made me feel he was pleased to be a part of this. DR Davis is always welcome back in my neck of the woods.
I have stopped by repeatedly over the years, usually needing a key or set of keys without delay, and the service has consistently been pleasant, prompt and accurate. Have you ever gotten a key that "almost" works? This is a small shop, and it has been here for years. Like so many convenient resources, I often overlook it (until I need a key). They work quickly, and I'm very pleased with them.
This use to be my Locksmith of choice, so last week brought an item in that needed new lock. Kid at the counter didn't know what he was doing so he wanted me to leave it. (must have had something to do with the hiring sign in the window.) Left item and phone number and he said would call later. I called late next day to see if any progress on the item i dropped off. Kid on phone said he didn't know, he didn't receive item in. But i here some banging around and all the sudden its fixed, so he says come in to get it. I get there the same kid that i dealt with day before is there and the one i talked to on the phone. He seems real nervous and says not fixed. I told him i didn't like the runaround he was giving me (i'm old now so i stay pretty calm) The owner from the back comes yelling at me and say how inconsiderate i am. I'm baffled because i haven't said anything offensive especially to have four letter words thrown at me. Owner says i need to thank him for the run around his employee has given me. Now i'm am mussed cause he's flipping out on me what his employee has done. Employee really cowering in corner now. Sign in the window is telling me he is very hard on his employees and can't keep knowledgeable help in his business. Had locksmith in Tigard fix it in a matter of minutes, so i will not be going back to this once great shop!
